Back to the future for the Blues
IT'S back to the future for Stranraer FC who have unveiled a special kit marking the club's 150th anniversary.
The new shirt features a shield-shaped badge in red with the classic Stranraer ship, reflecting the town's maritime heritage.
The Stair Park side's website declares: 'Stranraer FC are delighted to reveal our brand new 150th anniversary home kit.
'Celebrating one and a half centuries of football in Wigtownshire, the new outfit is a throwback to years gone by, with a traditional finish and quality material.
'Proudly displayed on the chest is a modern take on the badge that adorned our strips between 1961 and 1985, worn by club legends Derek Frye who in 1976/77 scored the club record 27 goals and Jim McCabe.
'Rounding off the classic look, our traditional red-topped blue socks will also make a welcome return!'
The kit is now available to pre-order via www.stranraerfc.org , with orders delivered from Friday 26 June.'
