Carson welcomes food and drink survey response
MSP Finlay Carson
SAVOUR the Flavours, a group promoting the food and drink sector, is hailing the early response to its survey to help restart businesses in the region.
MSP Finlay Carson has welcomed the news that over 200 people have shared their thoughts already.
Mr Carson says it is important that people get involved in the survey to help businesses understand how they can best support rural communities going forward.
He has welcomed the return of Savour the Flavours as an encompassing organisation to support the food and drink industry across the region, especially at the time of an unprecedented crisis.
Mr Carson said: This is a very welcome form of engagement from Savour the Flavours, in order to help restart our businesses following the current restrictions.
The return of Savour the Flavours has been very welcome and will help our food and drink and hospitality businesses work out the best way they can survive going forward.
I would encourage constituents to respond in as large as number as possible to this survey and explain how they feel they will be supporting businesses in the future.
This will allow us to shape policies and measures to fit the needs of our businesses in rural areas, which will be entirely different from those in our cities.
We must continue to engage in all ways in order to give our businesses the best chance of survival going forward and this survey is a welcome step to achieving this.
