It's getting warmer, but there's a chance of thunderstorms
THE weather's thrown everything at us of late, with rain and blustery conditions over the last couple of days after warm days and clear nights.
Our picture shows a spectacular sunrise over Stranraer earlier in the month taken by reader Leanne Patterson as she finished a nightshift at the Thorneycroft care home in the town as high pressure brought a spell of good weather.
So what's ahead? Well, the Met Office says it's going to get warmer towards the weekend, though not quite the heatwave that's expected in England.
And there's also a warning of possible thunderstorms pretty much anywhere along the entire length of the UK's Western seaboard.
It means the whole of Dumfries and Galloway is under a yellow warning for isolated thunderstorms and possible localised torrential rain from 4pm until midnight tomorrow.
Friday looks similar, though the threat of thunderstorms is confined to the eastern edge of Wigtownshire.
The Met Office say: "Thunderstorms may cause flooding and disruption in a few places."
