Thieves cost YOU money

THE public are out of pocket to the tune of £1,000 after a strimmer was stolen from a council vehicle. Police Scotland say the orange-coloured Stihl strimmer was taken from back of council lorry parked in Foreland Place, Stranraer, next to Lifeboat Station. The theft occurred between 0830 and 0900hrs on morning of 13th. In nearby Sheuchan Street, a lawnmower was stolen from garden shed at Seapark, Sheuchan Street, Stranraer. The The mafter was reported to police on July 13 but the theft is believed to have occurred overnight on July 7. And a shed was broken into overnight on July 13 at Encliffe Lane, Stranraer. Fishing equipment was stolen. And the lock on the garden shed at the rear of a house on Main Street, Cairnryan found to have been forced overnight.
