POLICE are on the hunt for two males after a vicious incident in the heart of Stranraer. A young man was attacked in a flat, threatened with a knife and – when he tried to get away – assaulted. Police Scotland say: "We are appealing for witnesses after a report that a man was threatened and assaulted by two males in St John Street, Stranraer about 6.20 pm on Tuesday 21st July. "The 22-year-old man was within a flat in St John Street when two males entered. "One of the males took a knife from the kitchen and threatened him with it. "The man tried to run away and jumped on his bike. However the two males chased him, pulled him from his bike and assaulted him before making off. "If you saw or heard anything or have any information in relation to this incident that would assist officers with their enquiries, please phone us on 101 quoting ref PDG0136000720."
