Red sky at night... lashing rain in the morning!

Sunday sunset in Stranraer

RED sky at night – shepherd's delight... Well, we had the crimson sky over Stranraer last night as our picture shows but the old adage fell a bit flat as this morning brought enough rain to make even a sheep in a woolly coat pretty miserable. The forecast is for more heavy and persistent rain throughout the morning though things should get a little drier towards evening. There are no weather warnings in place from the Met Office but Traffic Scotland is advising drivers to beware of spray and localised flooding. Tomorrow looks to be another damp day with a freshening wind keeping temperatures down. Increasing high pressure arrives midweek and that should see skies clear and temperatures rise.
