Scottish Week is off to a flying start
Jock McStraw, Barbours' entry for the scarecrow contest
IT'S here! Stranraer Scottish Week starts today and it doesn't matter that it is raining outside as this year it's largely virtual.
An early event was at the West End Bowling Club on Saturday.
Scottish week organisers say: "Because of these extraordinary and peculiar circumstances, West End Bowling Club agreed you hold a pairs competition with members only for Stranraer Scottish Week.
"It was a heavily mixed event with all ages competing. At the end of the day the winners were Louis Rennie and Willie McKinstry with the runner ups being Alan Cairnryan and Dougie McColm.
"Presenting the winners with a marvellous Hamper from Morrison's were Queen Kyra Lund and King Finn Milligan."
A virtual Treasure Hunt starts this evening - there's a car treasure hunt later this week too.
Competition in the scarecrow contest is hotting up and there's a baking competition too.
