S&A Homes has two job vacancies
SUPPORT WORKER: We are looking for an individual to join our Stranraer-based team to work within an environment in which they will help support people who find themselves in difficult situations.
The role involves guiding people to identify in which areas they require housing
support and what steps can be put in place to achieve what they need.
This can include helping people to budget, cook, maintain a clean living
environment, job-seek and so forth.
The ideal candidate will have empathy with people in difficult situations; good
communication skills; be able to adapt these when necessary; a good teamwork
ethic; the ability to work in some stressful situations; demonstrate good
time-management; have a positive attitude and show flexibility no two days
are the same in this role.
Preferable would be an SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and experience of
working with vulnerable adults.

CLEANER: We are also looking for an experienced cleaner to join the team
maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in all our general access areas as well as preparing accommodation for people, sometimes within a short turnaround. Duties will also include ensuring storage areas are kept tidy.
The successful candidate will have a good work ethic; the ability to work under some stressful situations; a positive attitude; flexibility and excellent time-management. Cleaning experience within a busy environment would be preferable.
