A wee bit of good news as the sun is expected to put in an appearance

IT'S a wee problem for locals and visitors alike, but some relief is in sight... Public toilets are scheduled to re-open across Wigtownshire just as the weather is due to pick up. Machars Councillor Jackie McCamon says: "The weather forecast looks set to be glorious therefore it is likely that beaches and neighbouring towns and villages will be packed, thus increasing demand for public conveniences. "Therefore, attending full council today, I asked Dumfries and Galloway Council if the re-opening could be brought forward to tomorrow, Friday, to avoid obvious problems occurring as a result of increased footfall. "The Chief Officer for Restart, Renewal and Recovery assured me that council staff will do their best to make this happen where possible."
