Beach gets a comb-over, but hurry if you want to try it out...
The rakes beach
THERE could be record temperatures this weekend but that's for the south-east of England.
Here? Well rain which affected most of Wigtownshire earlier is now moving away and tomorrow should be very decent if not exactly scorching - say the Met Office.
They forecast good spells of sunshine with temperatures of around 21 Celsius that's a shade under 70 in old-money Fahrenheit.
Just as well the beach at Stranraer's Agnew Park has been raked over by the Council, having already benefitted from a series of clean-ups undertaken by volunteers.
Sunday looks cooler and the Met Office has most of the country under a yellow weather warning for possible thunderstorms and heavy rain on Monday and Tuesday.
