A stunner of a sunrise
Jane's sunrise shot
EARLY RISER Jane Poag caught the sun rising over Stranraer this morning.
Her photo from Church Street captured the imposing bulk of the Castle of St John in silhouette.
She tells us: "It was very warm, so I opened a window and when I saw the sunrise, I knew it was too beautiful not to photograph."
Although it's a bit cloudier today, the Met Office predict temperatures will be higher this afternoon than yesterday, reaching a balmy 21 Celsius shade under 70 Fahrenheit by 4pm.
They still have a yellow weather warning out for tomorrow, however. It advises that thunderstorms and heavy rain could affect the whole of the south-west of Scotland in the afternoon and evening.
They say: "Some places are likely to see severe thunderstorms on Monday - but there is significant uncertainty in location and timing."
