Major boost for two young curlers

STRANRAER'S reputation as the seedbed for top young curling talent has again been confirmed.
Scottish Curling have announced their selection for this season's National Academy Programme and, for the first time a Regional/Local Programme. Stranraer can once again be proud with two curlers selected.
Robyn Munro who won the Scottish Curling Junior Ladies' Championship in Aberdeen in January this year has been successful in being selected into the National Academy
Players chosen for the National Academy programme will receive weekly training at the National Curling Academy in Stirling. Robyn plays for Castle Kennedy curling club and will be defending her Scottish title at Curl Aberdeen in December.
Meanwhile Kaleb Johnston is on the Regional/Local Programme and will receive support from his local rink as well as training camps at the NCA in Stirling.
In January Kaleb was a member of Stranraer Young Curlers who won the Scottish Curling Junior Club Challenge Division One title at Curl Edinburgh. Kaleb plays for Portpatrick Curling Club.
Stranraer Young Curlers would like to congratulate both Robyn and Kaleb.
