What a blow! Warning as stormy weather is predicted
HOLD on to your hats and trampolines.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning effective from 8pm tonight and extending right into Friday as possibly disruptive high winds are expected right across Wigtownshire.
The say: "Strong winds are expected to cause some disruption to travel and power supplies from Wednesday evening to Friday morning."
Delays to road, rail and ferry transport are likely.
"Probably some bus and train services will be affected, with some journeys taking longer."
There could be some delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and some short-term loss of power and other services is possible.
"It's likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities affected by spray and/or large waves
Some damage to trees with debris on roads are possible given the time of year."
Traffic Scotland are also wanting drivers to take extra care.
