WILSON — LIGHTBODY — On Saturday 26th August, 2017 at Leswalt Parish Church, George, son of Tommy and the late Helen to Kim, daughter of Allan and Carol. A great day was had by all.
DEATHS
DAVIDSON — Peacefully at the Old Vicarage Nursing Home, Gobowen, Oswestry, on Tuesday 12th February 2017, Isobel Davidson, (nee- McLean) aged 83 years, a beloved wife of the late Gordon Davidson, a much loved mother, granny, great-granny, sister and aunt to the family. Funeral on Friday 22nd September 2017, service in Mochrum Kirk, at 12.00 noon, thereafter to Mochrum Kirkyard, to which all friends are respectfully invited, family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Cancer Macmillan, will be accepted on retiral from the service.
GILLAN — Peacefully, on Thursday 14th September 2017, at Newton Stewart Hospital, Hugh Gillan, aged 75 years, of Mossburn, Moss of Cree, Wigtown, a beloved husband of Pat, a dear father, of Hugh, Norma and Una, grandfather of Ewan, Graeme and Gordon. Funeral on Tuesday 26th September 2017, service in Wigtown Parish Church, at 1.00 pm, thereafter to Wigtown Park Cemetery, to which all friends are respectfully invited, family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the Blood Bikes, also to the Mistletoe Therapy UK. will be accepted on retiral from the service.
JOHNSTONE — Peacefully on Wednesday 13th September 2017, in the Palliative Care Unit, at the Galloway Community Hospital, Stranraer, Alastair Johnstone, aged 76 years, of 27 Millburn Court, Stranraer, a much loved dad and papa toots, of the family. A Memorial Service on Wednesday 27th September 2017, in the High Kirk of Stranraer at 1.30 pm. to which all friends are respectfully invited, family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Local Charities, will be accepted on retiral from the service.
MURDOCH — Peacefully at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, on Thursday 14th September, 2017. James (Skipper) Murdoch, aged 79 years, of 10 Coronation Drive, Stranraer. Beloved husband of May Rankin, dearly loved father of Jimmy and father in law of Jessie. A much loved Papa of Kirsty, Lisa, Beth and James. Dear Great Papa of Laila, Darcie, Hollie and Chloe. Funeral on Friday 22nd September, 2017. Service in The High Kirk of Stranraer at 11.00.am. SCOTT — Peacefully on Sunday 10th September, 2017 at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, Gladys (née Douglas) of Barona, Newton Stewart and formerly of Garchew, Bargrennan. Beloved wife of Tom, dearly loved mother of Fiona and John, mother-in-law to Alan and Barbara, gran to Chloe, Simon, Katie and Thomas and great gran to Fergus. Funeral memorial service to which all friends are respectfully invited at Penninghame St Johns Church, Newton Stewart on Thursday 21st September, 2017 at 2 pm. Family flowers only please donations if desired to Newton Stewart Hospital League of Friends and Newton Stewart Riverside Day Centre on retiral from church. A private cremation service has already taken place.
