BICKERSTAFF — Peacefully at home on Friday 14th February 2020. George McBride Lightbody Bickerstaff aged 84 years of 17 Millburn Court, Stranraer. Beloved brother of Mary and the late Jean, dearly loved uncle of George and Brian. Funeral Private.
BROWN — Peacefully on Sunday 9th February 2020, at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, after a short illness, surrounded by his family, Gavin (Guy) Brown, retired GP of Seaview, 9 Main Street, Port William. A much loved husband of Marie, a devoted father and grandfather of the family. Funeral on Thursday 20th February 2020, service in Mochrum Kirk at 12.00 noon, thereafter to Mochrum Kirkyard, to which all friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please donations in lieu if desired to, P.I.R.S.A.C. will be accepted on retiral from the service.
CAIN — Suddenly at home on 11th February 2020, Christopher (Chris) Cain (Retired Senior Master), aged 72 years of Ardane, Military Drive, Portpatrick. Beloved husband of Hazel, dearly loved dad of Judith and Jeffrey and a devoted papa to granddaughter Georgina. A Celebration for his life will take place, at St Ninians, Lewis Street, Stranraer, on Friday 21st February 2020, at 3 p.m. Bright colours to be worn if possible, family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Machars Cancer Drop-In Centre (Newton Stewart) and Leukaemia UK on retiral from service.
MCNALLY — Peacefully at Belmont Care Home, Stranraer on Thursday 13th February, 2020. Ian McNally, aged 72 years, formerly of Sandmill Crescent, Stranraer, dearly beloved husband of Isobel, dearly loved dad of Pauline, Stuart and the late Ian, much loved papa of Melissa, Robyn, Cameron, Chloe and great papa of Caleb. Funeral on Thursday 20th February, 2020. Service in Masonhill Crematorium by Ayr at 1.15.pm. All friends respectfully invited, family flowers only please, donations if desired in aid of Belmont Care Home on retiral from crematorium.
POLLOCK — Suddenly at home on Friday 14th February 2020. John Norris Pollock aged 60 years of 42 West End Terrace, Stranraer. Beloved son of the late Willie and Mollie Pollock, dearly loved brother of Janet and the late William, brother in law of Ian. A much loved uncle to Ian, Gregor and Lesley-Ann. Funeral on Tuesday 25th February 2020. Service in Stranraer Millennium Centre at 1.00pm. Thereafter to Glebe Cemetery. MCLEAN — Morag and the family of the late John McLean would like to thank most sincerely, all relatives, friends, neighbours and John's former work colleagues for the many cards, letters, flowers and phone calls received following his death on the 29th January.
